Apologies for the day late update. I've been painting and putzing around my place with a redesign. Amidst a bunch of anxiety about the car. And lots of filming, etc.

What I didn't know when I drove off with Lola two weeks ago was that the financing wasn't secure. Almost two weeks to the day the Finance Mgr left me an email saying they needed more tax info to get it approved. I'd already figured out that I'd gotten hosed on the hidden costs and the base price.

So, I dropped it off and we had a little come to Jesus meeting about the car. I told him I thought I might turn the car in. The deal wasn't what I thought. A dear friend has been advising me and he thought it was not good. He has this thing about Hyundai so I called them the next morning after looking at ads. The salesman called back and I said, "I want your out the door price." He came back 7K higher, explaining the ad was a wholesale price. Well, screw that.

I decided, I'll live without a vehicle for a while and notified the finance mgr I was turning the car in that afternoon. I took it to the car wash, put some gas in and drove in their lot. After waiting a while, (something common in all these dealerships) he came out. Now, he's got financing and a much better deal. He knew I was serious about handing the car back.

Long story, short...I got a much better price and interest rate and I drove home with Lola. Phew!

But the previous part of the week was great. I had an old friend visit on Monday, cam sessions and two shoots with great content.

This morning I put the tomato stakes in and with help from my neighber, wrapped the screening around the milkweek potted planted. I covered the top with a thin scarf wrapped in picture wire to keep it tight and crossed my fingers both will keep them out.

After I had a gal come to the house for an air brush spray tan. Really a cool deal how they do this. I've not felt comfortable going to these spray tanning booths with Covid and I still don't. It only took 20 minutes and she was great.

This afternoon back to another hair salon to fix the job that was done last week. Hopefully these gal will listen and I'll be back to more blonde with auburn accents. Not the other way around. WAY too dark. Wish me luck!

And that's about it. I feel great and while I have a little bit of nerves about Tuesday I know it will be okay.
